The Laboratory of Immunology and Biomedical Technologies was established in July 2025 as a result of the reorganization of the research laboratory. The laboratory traces its history back to 1970, when the group of immunology was organized at the Department of Neuropathology of the Belarusian State Institute of Advanced Medical Training. After the commissioning of the educational and laboratory building, the group was based at the Scientific Research Laboratory of the State Educational Institution "Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education" (hereinafter – the BelMAPE Research Institute). From 1970 to 2006, the head of the group was Konstantin Laput, a leading researcher, Candidate of Medical Sciences. From 2006 to 2018, the group was headed by Marina Mikhailovna Zafranskaya, MD, Professor. Since 2017, the group has been reorganized into the Department of Immunology and Biomedical Technologies of the SRL BelMAPE, which was headed by Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Daria Borisovna Nizhegorodova.
