The Student Scientific Club of the department was established in 2003.
The department organizes the meeting of the Student Scientific Club every month. More than 273 students of all courses of the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Medicine of Foreign Students took an active part past 3 years.
Students have a unique opportunity to study innovative areas of periodontology, modern methods of treating caries and non-carious lesions and physiotherapeutic methods of treatment in dentistry. Students and teachers of the department are actively sharing their achievements.
Work in the Student Scientific Club promotes the discovery of young talents, helps the student to prove himself and show his success in science and practice.
76th Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists «Actual problems of modern medicine and pharmacy-2022»
On April 20-21, 2022, the 76th scientific and practical conference of students and young scientists «Actual problems of modern medicine and pharmacy-2022» was held at the Department of Periodontology. The conference was attended by 27 students of the 4-5th year of the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Medicine of foreign students of BSMU, interns, 3rd year students of the Faculty of Medicine of BSMU with 20 reports. All reports were presented in the form of presentations.
According to the results of the sectional meeting, prizes among the participants of the conference were distributed as follows: Diploma of the 1st degree: Evaluation of the effectiveness of surgical treatment of post-extraction bone defects using osteoplastic material. 2021/04/22 The 75th Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists 'Actual problems of modern medicine and pharmacy-2021' was held at the Department of Periodontology. The conference was attended by 20 students of the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Medicine of Foreign students of the Belarusian State Medical University and Vitebsk State Medical University, doctors-interns.
The conference participants received: two I degree diplomas, three II degree diplomas and three III degree diplomas.
Actual aspects of Dentistry in the field of view of the first online plenary session of the Student Scientific Club of the Dental Faculties of the Belarusian State Medical University and Vitebsk State Medical University
The interuniversity online plenary meeting of Student Scientific Club of the Dental Faculties of the Belarusian State Medical University and Vitebsk State Medical University 'Actual aspects in Dentistry' was held online for the first time. The meeting was held on the ZOOM platform. More than 50 participants of the conference were 1-5-year students of Dental Faculties and Medical Faculty of Foreign Students, teachers of departments. All students showed great interest and showed themselves actively during the event.
