The purpose of our educational and ideological work is high-quality development of the university education system according to the Program of educational work aimed at the formation of student’s competences, which define the strategy of the modern state.
Tasks of the ideological and educational work of the Department:
• formation of students' civic consciousness and patriotism;
• increase in personal responsibility for the results of studies;
• acquaintance with universal and national values;
• formation of aesthetic culture and the culture of family relations;
• formation of knowledge and skills in the field of social and interpersonal relations;
• consolidation of healthy lifestyle norms.
The teachers of the Department carry out talks in student groups about a healthy lifestyle, strengthening the spiritual and moral foundations of the family, building the culture of family relations, formation of social competence (the image of the profession), formation of professional culture and ethics, professional education based on personal example.
The teachers provide the students with historical information about the profession and traditions in medicine. The conversations cover numerous issues of cultural life and leisure.
Events of Educational Work
The teachers together with students take part in the events held in the Belarusian State Medical University devoted to: March 1 - International Day against Drug Abuse and Drug Trafficking, May 9 - Victory Day, May 31 - World No Tobacco Day, December 1 - World AIDS Day.
Monthly, the teachers of the Department visit the student’s dormitory, where they get acquainted with the living conditions of the students, their progress, leisure activities and provide methodological and information help. The curators of the rooms carry on individual work with students to form interpersonal relationships, educate them on conflict prevention, rational organization of individual lessons and leisure time, as well as conduct work directed towards the actualization of life safety rules in the conditions of dormitory, attract students' attention to the aesthetics of everyday life, behavior culture and healthy lifestyle.
