At the Department of Periodontology of the BSMU Educational Institution for students of the 5th year of the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Medicine of foreign students, the head of the Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Lyudmila Nikolaevna Dedova organized an elective course for students in the specialty 1-79 01 07 'Dentistry'. Training on the elective course «Modern principles of dental restoration in periodontology» conducted by professors and associate professors of the department.
The curriculum of the elective course is unique in its content and is not duplicated by other dental departments of higher education institutions of the Republic of Belarus. The elective course contributes to the formation of fundamental knowledge on topics that are of great interest to doctors-specialists in practical health care.
