The main directions of scientific works by the Department.
Since 2019 we perform the research work under the programme “Development of novel methods of diagnosis and treatment of surgical diseases of abdomen and thorax, vessels and endocrine glands” (2019-2023, principal investigator – Kondratenko GG, Head of the Department, MD, PhD, D.Sc. of Medical Sciences, Professor).
In accordance with this programme research is being conducted on development and improvement ways of diagnosis and treatment of different surgical disease: tracheal stenosis, pleural empyema, deep sternal infections, chest and abdomen trauma, pancreatitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, surgical diseases of endocrine glands, diabetic foot and others.
