The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry with a course of advanced training and retraining is one of the specialized departments of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Department currently offers the following academic disciplines: analytical chemistry, chromatographic methods of drug analysis, pharmaceutical chemistry in the 3rd and 4th years, pharmaceutical ecology, modern methods of analysis and standardization of drugs, toxicological chemistry, and an elective course on "Development and quality control of biotechnological products."

Department is responsible for the management and implementation of industrial control and analytical practice.

The main scientific areas implemented by department are disposal of pharmaceutical waste, phytochemical studies of medicinal plant materials and medicinal mushrooms, chemical-toxicological studies, studies of sorbents absorption capacity, standardization and quality control of drugs, cultural studies, and search for new drugs.

Active work is underway to introduce modern electronic technologies into the educational process, creating and improving educational and methodological complexes.
