The teaching staff of Department performs medical and diagnostic work on 5 clinical bases: «Republican Dental Outpatient Clinic», «4th city children's clinical hospital», «1st city children’s outpatient dental clinic», «15th city children's outpatient clinic», «6th city children's outpatient clinic».
95% of academic stuff have qualification categories, 77% of them - the highest category. Teaching stuff conduct medical consultations of the children's population of the republic of Belarus according to the schedule in all health care institutions of Minsk, also with a help of interns. Professors and Associate Professors of the Department provide counselling in the teaching center «Dentistry». For 15 years the teaching stuff of Department have been providing qualified surgical and therapeutic dental care to children living in SOS Children's Village of Maryina Gorka and Istoki, and they have been cooperating with the international movement «Special Olympics».
The teaching staff of the Department actively participates in the implementation of the National Program of Demographic Security, the program of formation of a healthy lifestyle, takes part in epidemiological dental examinations of the children's population of key age groups (3, 6, 12 and 15 years) in order to study the main parameters of children's dental health.
The academic stuff of Department provides methodological assistance to practical health authorities, make presentations at scientific and practical conferences on topical issues of pediatric dentistry.
