The Department of Pediatric Dentistry organizes three types of Medical Outpatient Practice – on Preventive Dentistry, Therapeutic Pediatric Dentistry and Pediatric Surgical Dentistry. The Medical Outpatient Practice is supervised by the academic staff of the Department.
Medical Outpatient Practice on Preventive Dentistry and Therapeutic Pediatric Dentistry at our Department restarted in the 2015-2016 academic year. The Practice is available for students studying in Russian and English. The Practice is conducted in Health Care Institutions in Minsk (19) and all regions of Belarus (30). Our students improve their practical skills as a dental assistant.
Medical Outpatient Practice on Preventive Dentistry is carried out after the 2nd year. Students examine small patients, identify risk factors for the development of dental diseases, teach children and their parents the rules of dental care. During the Practice students conduct oral hygiene lessons in kindergartens and schools.
Medical Outpatient Practice on Therapeutic Pediatric Dentistry takes place after the 3rd year. Our students consolidate their knowledge working with young patients. They treat dental caries and its complications, carry out professional oral hygiene under the guidance of a dentist.
