Basics of activity
At the department, from year to year, consistent educational work is carried out among students to develop their value orientations of moral, aesthetic and environmental culture, stereotypes of civic behavior, social responsibility, patriotism and national identity based on state ideology, principles of humanism, goodness and justice.
Educational work with students is carried out within the framework of lectures and practical classes, at meetings of the student scientific circle, during extracurricular hours in the form of educational and information hours, conversations, round tables, trainings. Stands and visual aids are being designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and instill a patriotic spirit among students. At the student gathering uniform information days are held monthly.
The purpose of educational and ideological work at the Department is to educate a socially competent, highly professional, creative, spiritual and moral personality.
Achieving the goal of education involves solving the following tasks:
- the formation of patriotic consciousness, civil-patriotic values, a sense of loyalty to the Motherland, respect for universal human values, tolerant attitude towards dissent, tolerance, humanity;
- the formation of students' skills of educational work as the basis of the cognitive competence of students, the ability to build strategies for personal and professional development and training;
- the development of leadership competencies and management culture as important aspects of the formation of a professionally successful personality;
- the formation of knowledge, capabilities, skills in the field of social and interpersonal relations, psychological culture and communicative competencies;
- providing conditions for the development of students' creative abilities and self-determination, self-realization, self-knowledge, personal self-development;
- the formation of readiness to maintain mental and physical health; skills of safe life, attitudes towards creating a family, mastering the gender status of men and women;
- the organization of activities for the formation of students' competencies in the field of everyday and cultural and leisure activities, moral, ethical and aesthetic culture.
The main areas of educational work with students are:
- ideological and civil-patriotic education;
- spiritual and moral, family and gender education;
- legal education, preventive work;
- labor and environmental, professional / economic education;
- fostering a healthy lifestyle culture and safe life;
- education of the culture of everyday life and leisure, aesthetic education;
- multicultural education.
- methodological assistance, organizational work and work in the direction of cooperation with public youth organizations (student trade union, NGO “Belarusian Republican Youth Union”), social and psychological service of the university to support students are also carried out.
