Scientific research work of students (SRWS)

  • SRWS is one of the ways to implement the knowledge gained by students in the classroom in the Russian language.

  • SRWS provides an optimal opportunity for mastering the skills of the culture of scientific communication, scientific research, as well as overcoming the language barrier.
  • SRWS is another way of studying the possibilities of the language by foreign students and an additional source of information for them.

  • SRWS is also a way of acquaintance of foreign students with Russian and Belarusian history, culture, traditions, everyday life of the people, with the organization of health care in the Republic of Belarus.

  • SRWS is one of the aspects of intercultural communication of representatives of different countries, the connecting link of which is the Russian language.
  • SRWS takes a special place in the research work of the department. Under the guidance of teachers, students prepare reports on linguistic and cultural topics and speak with them at conferences.

The teachers of the department supervise the research work of foreign and Belarusian students, act as consultants in the preparation of reports for participation in the annual International conference of students and young scientists «Actual problems of modern medicine. Every two years, the department conducts Republican student readings «Dialogue of languages ​​and cultures».

On October 22, 2021, the III International IX Republican Student readings "Dialogue of Languages and Cultures" were held on the basis of the Belarusian State Medical University, organized by the Department of Belarusian and Russian Languages. The conference was attended by foreign students from 39 countries: the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, the Republic of India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Iraq, the Lebanese Republic, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Maldives, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State of Israel, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, Malaysia, The Republic of Cameroon, the Republic of Ecuador, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the United States of America, etc.

The topics of the reading materials included the following areas:

  • language–culture–society;
  • polyphony of cultures of the peoples of the world;
  • language–medicine–healthcare–ecology;
  • medicine in the context of culture;
  • education and science in modern conditions;
  • language and intercultural communication;
  • socio-cultural and military-historical discourse in a global context.
The teachers of the department supervised the research work of 106 students as consultants in the preparation of 85 reports.

Results of participation in the International Conference of students and Young Scientists "Actual problems of modern medicine and pharmacy" on April 19-20, 2023

53 scientific papers were presented in 8 sections headed by our staff. The jury of each section included 3 teachers of the department. The conference participants not only introduced the audience to their reports, but also prepared interesting PowerPoint presentations.
