Ideological and Educational Work – Department of Belarusian and Russian Languages

Ideological and educational work at the department is conducted in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, based on the following regulatory documents:

  • The Education Code of the Republic of Belarus;
  • The Strategy for the Development of State Youth Policy of the Republic of Belarus until 2030;
  • The Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 65-Z of 07.12.2009 "On the Fundamentals of State Youth Policy";
  • The Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 301-Z of 05.07.2004 "On State Symbols of the Republic of Belarus";
  • Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 12 of 9 April 2025 "On the Implementation of the Fundamentals of the Ideology of the Belarusian State";
  • The Concept of Continuous Upbringing of Children and Young Learners;
  • The Programme of Continuous Upbringing of Children and Young Learners for 2026–2030.

Ideological and educational work at the department is carried out on the basis of the Plan for Ideological and Educational Work of the Educational Institution "Belarusian State Medical University," the plans for ideological and educational work of the faculty and the department, and other local regulatory documents.

Educational work at the department is conducted both within the framework of academic disciplines and outside class time, covering all areas of upbringing: ideological upbringing; civic and patriotic upbringing; spiritual and moral upbringing; aesthetic upbringing; fostering psychological culture; fostering physical culture and physical development; upbringing aimed at developing healthy lifestyle skills; family upbringing; labour and professional upbringing; upbringing aimed at fostering a caring attitude towards the environment and natural resources; fostering a culture of safety in everyday life; fostering a culture of daily life and leisure; multicultural upbringing; economic upbringing.

Ideological and educational work at the department includes the participation of staff and students in events dedicated to state holidays and commemorative dates. Close attention is paid to promoting a healthy lifestyle and safe living, fostering in students a conscious and responsible attitude towards their health, and preventing unlawful behaviour and negative phenomena among young people.

Work is carried out with talented youth; meetings of the Student Research and Scientific Club are held regularly; visits to students living in dormitories are organised.

A variety of formats are used in ideological and educational activities: information hours as part of the Unified Information Day, thematic discussions, roundtables, campaigns, contests, excursions, and volunteer projects.

Matters of ideological and educational work are regularly reviewed at department meetings.

Goal: to shape a well-rounded, morally mature, and creative personality in each learner.

Objectives of Educational Work:

  • to develop civic consciousness, patriotism, and national identity based on state ideology;
  • to prepare learners for independent life, professional self-determination, career choice, and labour;
  • to foster moral and aesthetic culture, as well as a culture of environmental protection and natural resource management;
  • to promote physical culture and the acquisition of healthy lifestyle values and skills;
  • to foster a culture of family relations;
  • to create conditions for the socialisation, self-development, and self-realisation of each learner's personality.
