Visit of a lecturer from Bashkir State Medical University

As part of the implementation of the Agreement on Academic and Scientific Cooperation between Belarusian State Medical University and Bashkir State Medical University (Ufa, Russian Federation), active interdepartmental interaction has being carried out between the Department of Medical and Biological Physics of our university and the Department of Medical Physics and Informatics of Bashkir State Medical University: in particular, participation was taken in the 1st International Student Olympiad "Fundamentals of Physics and Informatics in Medicine", dedicated to the 80^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in March 2025, and in the 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference "Computer Modeling of Physical Processes and New Digital Technologies in Medicine and Pharmacy" on February 27, 2026. All events were held at Bashkir State Medical University.

In order to further expansion of bilateral cooperation, head of the Department of Medical Physics and Informatics of Bashkir State Medical University, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Galiya Zakiryanova visited Belarusian State Medical University from April 22 to 25, 2026.

During her visit, Zakiryanova Galiya presented a series of lectures for the faculty of the Department of Medical and Biological Physics and the university students on the topics "Application of Intelligent Solutions Based on Neural Networks in Medicine" and "Computer Modeling of Biophysical Processes". In addition, Galiya Zakiryanova gave a general lecture for the first-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry on the topic "Physical Foundations of Visualization of Medical Images". She also conducted a series of practical classes, including those on the topics "Processing Medical and Biological Data Using Application Software" and "Intelligent Analysis of Medical and Biological Research", given in English, together with Mikhail Goltsev, Head of the Department of Medical and Biological Physics of Belarusian State Medical University, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, for the students of the Medical Faculty for International Students.

As part of her university work program, Galiya Zakiryanova, along with the faculty from the Department of Medical and Biological Physics, learned about the work of our university's Simulation and Certification Center for Higher Education, participating in training sessions at the center for various categories of students using simulation equipment. She also got acquainted with the III Belarusian Cardiology Olympiad for Students and Young Scientists with International Participation.

In addition to her active professional work with the Department of Medical and Biological Physics, Galiya Zakiryanova participated in the plenary and sectional sessions of the 5^th Belarusian-Russian Patriotic Forum "We Live and Remember", which took place at Belarusian State Medical University on April 23-24 and brought together more than 3,000 participants from 34 leading universities in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

At the end of the visit, there were held meetings with Dmitry Chuikov, Vice-Rector for International Relations of BSMU, and Varvara Boyko, Head of the International Relations Department, where the visit's important results were outlined together with the key areas for developing cooperation in the frameworks of academic mobility – conduction of lectures and master classes in the field of medical and biological physics, as well as discussing the creation of a network program focused on the specialty 30.05.02 "Medical Biophysics", which will allow for the development and implementation of joint educational courses and programs, which will undoubtedly contribute to a broad exchange of experience, the development of scientific partnerships and improving the quality of ongoing bilateral cooperation in the field of higher medical and pharmaceutical education.
