The leading medical university of Belarus and the Center for the Development of Professional Qualification of Medical Workers of Uzbekistan are intended to cooperate

As part of the development of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan, from June 3 to June 10, the representative of the Center for the Development of Professional Qualification of Medical Workers of Uzbekistan Associate Professor of the Department of Obstetrics-Gynecology and Perinatal Medicine, Faculty of Pediatrics, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Uktam Dzhalalov visited the educational institution “Belarusian State Medical University”.

The guest visited the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of Health Care Personnel at the Clinical Maternity Hospital of the Minsk region. The head of the department, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Larisa Nebyshinets introduced the multi-level system of providing primary, specialized and high-tech medical care to pregnant women, women in labor, postpartum women, gynecological patients and newborn children in the Republic of Belarus to the colleague. Also she introduced the organization of the work of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in providing educational process and within the framework of interaction with practical healthcare, shared her experience of introducing of department’s achievements into practical healthcare.

A meeting with Pyotr Mosko, Chief Physician of the Perinatal center of the 3^rd technological level of the Clinical Maternity Hospital of the Minsk region and Sergei Kachan, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation for newborns, was also held.

Issues of cooperation between departments, the possibility of holding joint events (conferences, seminars, webinars), joint research and projects were discussed during the meeting.

Uktam Dzhalalov visited the Department of Neonatology and the Department of Reproductive Health and Medical Genetics at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Mother and Child”. Acting Head of the Department of Neonatology of the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of Health Care Personnel, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Yulia Lemeshko introduced the Uzbek doctor to the organization of a multi-level system of perinatal care in the Republic of Belarus, as well as with the educational process at the Department of Neonatology, noting the practical orientation of the training of medical specialists. The guest also visited the clinical department of anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care for newborns of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Mother and Child”. The Head of the Department, Oksana Svirskaya, introduced the organization of the department of the breast milk bank for newborns, the treatment and diagnostic capabilities of the department of anesthesiology and intensive care (with wards for newborns). Uktam Dzhalalov visited the Educational and Training Center of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Mother and Child”, which, on a functional basis, improves the professional training of medical specialists and nurses using advanced educational and simulation technologies, and develops practical skills in a realistic simulation of a working environment with high-tech equipment.

A representative of the Center for the Development of Professional Qualification of Medical Workers of Uzbekistan also visited the Republican Center of Professional Certification and Simulation Training of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Belarusian State Medical University on the basis of the 1^st City Clinical Hospital of Minsk.

At the Republican Center of Professional Certification and Simulation Training, the guest was met by the Director of the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of Healthcare Personnel of the Belarusian State Medical University, Candidate of Medical sciences, Associate Professor Andrei Platonov, Head of the Republican Center Natalya Mironchik, Deputy Head of International relations department Sergei Kozachenko. Natalya Mironchik gave a sightseeing tour of the Center, spoke about the possibilities of training using simulators, the features of the organization of the educational process, the main modules of the simulation clinic: “Anatomy and reflexology”, “Emergency and Intensive Care Clinic”, “Surgical Clinic”, “Endoscopic Room”, “Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic”, “Ultrasound Diagnostics Department”, “Dental Clinic”, “Emergency Clinic in Pediatrics and Neonatology”, etc. The parties considered issues related to educational exchange, joint scientific activities, simulation training at the Institute with for the purpose of sharing experience.

At the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Belarusian State Medical University, Head of the Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Lyudmila Mozheiko introduced her Uzbek colleague to the system of providing medical care to pregnant women, women in labor, postpartum women, gynecological patients and newborn children in Belarus, with the organization of the work of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology within the educational framework process, shared her experience of introducing of department’s achievements into practical healthcare.

In addition, Uktam Dzhalalov held a meeting with the Head of the educational activities department Irina Kotovich, representatives of the department, where an attention was paid to the possibilities of academic cooperation, organizing joint advanced training courses, preparing training programs, exchanging experience in the field of formation and functioning of the management quality system.

At the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology with a Course of clinical modeling of BSMU, its Head, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Anzhela Fomenko spoke about the history of the creation of the department, about the conduct and methodological support of the educational process in the field of pedagogy and psychology for specialists in the education and healthcare system of the Republic of Belarus.

As part of a visit to the Department of Public Health and Health Care of the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Healthcare Personnel, the Head, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Marina Shchaveleva introduced the guest to the organization of work and the teaching system at the department, the training system for heads of healthcare organizations in Belarus, the provision of scientific and methodological assistance to authorities healthcare management and healthcare organizations, conducting scientific research in areas relevant to practical healthcare.

At the Department of Public Health and Healthcare of the Belarusian State Medical University, the Deputy Head of the Department for Scientific work, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Irina Moroz informed about the organization of the educational process. Issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, including in the field of evidence-based medicine, biomedical statistics, and joint events.

The results of the visit to the Belarusian State Medical University were summed up during a conversation between Uktam Dzhalalov and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Yuri Sokolov, Vice-Rector for Scientific work, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vasily Filonyuk, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vasili Rudenok. The parties discussed areas of interaction and development of partnerships between the Belarusian State Medical University and the Center for the Development of Professional Qualification of Medical Workers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including such areas as holding joint scientific and practical conferences on current issues of medicine (also in online format), lecture’s seminars, implementation of scientific projects, use of academic mobility opportunities, advanced training and training in clinical residency.
