Participation of BSMU clinical residents in the Online International Ophthalmology Olympiad
On May 20, the team “United EYES” of clinical residents from Belarusian State Medical University participated in the International Online Ophthalmology Olympiad for Residents, which was held at Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky of the Russian Ministry of Health.
7 teams competed in the Olympiad: 5 from the Russian Federation, 1 from Kazakhstan and 1 from the Republic of Belarus (BSMU).
The BSMU team was represented by four clinical residents:
Abdel Nour Rawan Carlos (Lebanon);
Zouhir Yassin (Morocco);
Ahechoush Hussam Eddine (Morocco);
Abebrese Sarpong (Ghana).
Welcoming speech was given by Dmitry Chuikov, Vice-Rector for International Relations of Belarusian State Medical University, and Tatyana Kamenskikh, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Eye Diseases of Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky.
The Olympiad consisted of 5 stages: questions, ophthalmological diseases and syndromes, research methods in ophthalmology, instruments, and clinical puzzles.
The BSMU team passed all the tests with flying colors and took the 2nd place!
Подготовку ординаторов осуществляли заведующий кафедрой глазных болезней БГМУ, доктор медицинских наук, профессор Людмила Марченко; руководитель СНК Ольга Терешенко; руководители клинических ординаторов. Training of residents was carried out by head of the Department of Eye Diseases of Belarusian State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Lyudmila Marchenko; head of the Scientific Research Council Olga Tereshchenko; and heads of clinical residents.
