Online meeting with the delegation of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences of Karabakh University
On the 7th of April, BSMU held an online meeting with a delegation from the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences of Karabakh University (Azerbaijan). The main goal of the meeting was to discuss prospects for cooperation and joint initiatives between two educational institutions.
The meeting was attended by Dmitry Chuikov, Vice-Rector for International Relations of Belarusian State Medical University; Vasili Roudenok, Professor of the Department of Normal Anatomy; and Varvara Boyko, Head of the Department of International Relations; Samir Babayev, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and General Director of Karabakh University Clinic; Khalil Ibrahim Durak, Advisor of the General Director; Emil Mukhtarov, Director of the Medical Program; Gunel Isakova, Secretary of the Faculty.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged information on the opportunities and areas of cooperation. Karabakh University, a higher educational institution offering a training program for medical specialists in the field of nursing, uses an innovative modular education system. Both sides noted the importance of introducing modern educational technologies and methods to improve the quality of student training.
Particular attention was paid to previously submitted proposals from BSMU for the development of cooperation in various areas. During the discussion, the parties selected a priority area: educational activities, including the exchange of experience and academic programs, as well as academic mobility.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on a visit of representatives of Karabakh University to BSMU, which is scheduled for August-September this year. The purpose of the visit: to gain a more detailed understanding of the university, its academic programs and simulation technologies, as well as to discuss opportunities for further cooperation.
This meeting was an important step towards establishing strong academic ties and exchanging experiences between the two universities, which will benefit students and faculty of both universities.
