“Interdisciplinary aspects of rational pharmacotherapy: experience of the Republic of Belarus”

This is the theme of the symposium, which was held for the first time as part of the XIX International Scientific Congress “Rational Pharmacotherapy “Golden Autumn””, which took place on 17–19 October in St. Petersburg, Russia. The initiator of the symposium was Belarusian public medical association “Clinical Pharmacology and Therapy”, which is headed by Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology of Belarusian State Medical University, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Larisa Gavrilenko, in collaboration with the Russian public association “Professional Medical Association of Clinical Pharmacologists of St. Petersburg”. Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Irina Romanova, Deputy Head of the Department for Scientific Work, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Irina Kozhanova, Associate Professor of the department, Candidate of Medical Sciences Tatyana Chak also contributed to the organization of the symposium.

Representatives of various departments of the leading medical university of Belarus presented their reports at this event: Professor of the Department of Healthcare Organization, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Marina Sachek (the topic of her scientific report is “Healthcare of the Republic of Belarus in the context of national security”), Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Larisa Gavrilenko (“Organizational technologies for increasing the availability of drugs to provide the population with modern medical care. Experience of the Republic of Belarus"), head of the Department of Healthcare Organization, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Marina Shchaveleva (“Professional development of management personnel is a guarantee of rational use of medicines”), Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Irina Romanova (“The role of a specialist in clinical pharmacology in the organization of pharmacotherapy of rare diseases”), Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Irina Kozhanova (“Practical aspects of the clinical and economic justification for the inclusion of medicines in the restrictive lists of the Republic of Belarus”), head of the Department of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology with a course of advanced training and retraining, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Anna Muzychenko (“Real clinical practice of using genetically engineered biological drugs in dermatology”), Professor of the Department of Endocrinology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Alla Shepelkevich (“Safety of pharmacotherapy for type 2 diabetes mellitus at the outpatient stage in real clinical practice”), Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Elena Davidovskaya (“Experience in organizing drug provision for patients with lymphangiomyomatosis in the Republic of Belarus” - this report was presented by the head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Pulmonology and Phthisiology Alexander Stychnevsky), Associate Professor of the Department of Urology and Nephrology with advanced training and retraining courses, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Viktor Gromyko (“Modern nephroprotection for chronic kidney disease”), senior lecturer of the Department of Healthcare Organization Diana Mardas (“Educational platforms that form safe consumption of medicines”), as well as Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Irina Chizhevskaya (“Cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes: a case study”), doctor - clinical pharmacologist of health institution "City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Care", freelance specialist in clinical pharmacology of the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee Oleg Kendenkov (“Approaches to the treatment of ventilator-associated pneumonia in neurological patients”), Deputy Director for Research of State Institution “Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Medical Technologies, Informatization, Management and Health Economics”, Candidate of Medical Sciences Alexander Semyonov (“Digital development of healthcare as a way to ensure continuity of pharmacotherapy”). The report “Principles of expert assessment by a clinical pharmacologist of anticoagulant therapy” was prepared by Tatyana Chak, Irina Romanova, Larisa Gavrilenko.

The symposium was attended by the organizers and delegates of the XIX International Scientific Congress “Rational Pharmacotherapy “Golden Autumn””, who listened to the reports of their colleagues from Belarus with an interested and took an active part in the discussions. There was reached an agreement on cooperation between Belarusian specialists and associations of clinical pharmacologists of the Russian Federation.
