“Diwali”-2024

On October 31, 2024, a large-scale event dedicated to one of the largest festivals of lights in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal - "Diwali" was held in the main building of the Belarusian State Medical University.

The following spoke at the opening ceremony of Diwali: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus Alok Ranjan Jha, Rector of the Belarusian State University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergei Petrovich Rubnikovich, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vasily Vasilyevich Rudenok, Director of the public association "International Association of University Graduates" Alla Danilovna Mayevskaya, Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Public Organization, Chairman of the Republican Public Organization "BKMO" Pavel Aleksandrovich Alekso, Director of the State Unitary Enterprise "Center for International Relations" of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Samuilich, Director of MILEMIR LLC, Deputy Chairman of the "International Association of University Graduates" Rama Sah (who became one of the main organizers of the event).

   The atmosphere of the evening was truly traditional and solemn. The festive stage sparkled with the colors and energy of Diwali. The guests of the event were able to familiarize themselves with the cultural exhibits of India and Sri Lanka. Students from India and Sri Lanka demonstrated the art of henna painting.

The concert program of the holiday left no one indifferent. On the stage were presented author's creative numbers performed by students from India and Sri Lanka. The guys tried their best, so the sound of applause was heard even outside the University.

The culminating moment of the evening was a rousing disco, where everyone could enjoy the beautiful music and dance to the sounds of worlds.
