Badminton is a physical fitness test

Badminton is not just a game, but it’s a real physical fitness and coordination test. This fast-paced sport develops a variety of skills including space orientation, balance, speed and endurance. It is believed that badminton is one of the most energy-intensive kind of sport and while playing at a moderate pace, a badminton player can burn about 300 calories per hour.

At the sports base of Belarusian State Medical University, badminton competitions were held among foreign students living in dormitories No. 5, No. 6 and No. 7. This event attracted many participants and spectators, creating an atmosphere of a friendly competition.
