Every year, about 1000 students are trained at the 2nd Department of Surgical Diseases: 600 medical and military medical faculties, 200 pediatric and 150 international students. One or two postgraduate students are being trained. 5 doctors improve their postgraduate education in clinical residency. In the educational process, computer presentations, educational films, videos, test tasks in conventional and electronic versions are used.
Students of all courses participate in clinical rounds of the department in surgical and intensive care units, consultations for surgical patients, visit the operating room. Students of the 6th year are widely involved in the supervision of patients, independently lead patients with surgical pathology, report to patients at cathedral conferences, perform dressings and medical and diagnostic manipulations, participate in operations in which individual stages of surgical intervention are independently performed.
