The main directions of scientific work of the department:

  • Improvement of the transplant method for treating diabetes mellitus by transplanting appropriate xenogenic cell grafts.
  • Improvement and implementation of the surgical method for the treatment of hypoparathyroidism by transplantation of parathyrocytes.
  • Development and implementation of a method for the treatment of long-term non-healing ulcers and purulent wounds using autologous stem cells from adipose tissue.
  • An individual approach when choosing a surgical aid for chronic pancreatitis.
  • Application of photodynamic therapy in the treatment of trophic ulcers and purulent wounds.
  • Improving the technique of gastric resection through the formation of new methods of the gastrointestinal anastomosis.
  • Comprehensive endoscopic diagnostics of dysplasia of the mucous membrane of the esophagus and stomach using the photolon preparation.

The priority scientific and practical directions of the department are the development of 2 scientific topics - a therapeutic and diagnostic algorithm for hepato-pancreato-biliary pathology and transplantation methods for the treatment of hypofunction of endocrine organs, the head of which is the Honored Scientist of the Republic of Belarus, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S. .AND.
