Unified Information Day «THE QUALITY FIVE-YEAR PLAN – RESULTS OF THE YEAR OF IMPROVEMENT»

The Department of Orthopedic Dentistry and Orthodontics held a unified information day for teachers and students, dedicated to the key state initiative – the Quality Five-Year Plan, launched by President A.G. Lukashenko. The main focus was on summarizing the first results of 2025, declared the Year of Improvement.

In his New Year's address, the President outlined a clear goal: "The purpose of improving our Belarus will be to enhance the quality of life of people." This thesis became the leitmotif of the meeting, during which participants discussed how the principles of quality and conscientious, responsible attitude towards the surrounding environment are reflected both on a national scale and in the professional activities of future medical professionals.

As part of the information session, the main achievements of the Year of Improvement were examined in detail:

Comprehensive development of territories: Work is underway from large cities to small villages to establish order, repair infrastructure, create comfortable public spaces, and develop cycling networks. The importance of preserving the village as the guardian of national traditions and cultural code.

Ecology and responsibility: Special emphasis was placed on fostering an ecological culture, including separate waste collection and large-scale greening campaigns. It was noted that Belarus is among the top ten forested countries in Europe, and this value is being enhanced thanks to the active participation of citizens, including youth, in nationwide initiatives.

Participants agreed that the Year of Improvement is, first and foremost, about cultivating personal responsibility and overcoming a consumerist attitude. It is a year that teaches us to carefully cherish what has been created by common labor, be it a park, an entranceway, or a workplace.

Faculty members drew a parallel between the goals of the Quality Five-Year Plan and the fundamentals of medical, particularly dental, practice. A patient's quality of life begins with the quality of medical care provided. Discipline, attention to detail, and the pursuit of professional excellence – the very resources mentioned by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko.

The Year of Improvement is a successful start to the large-scale five-year program launched by the President. Its results clearly demonstrate: only through common efforts, with everyone taking responsibility in their place, can we build a comfortable, modern, and prosperous country. These principles are fully in line with the mission of the university and the department in training highly qualified, responsible, ideologically educated, and committed specialists.

CYBERSECURITY AND THE PREVENTION OF CYBERCRIME

In the modern world, where digital technologies permeate all spheres of life, security issues in virtual space have become paramount. As part of a unified information day, the faculty of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry and Orthodontics and 3rd-5th year students were introduced to materials on the topic "Cybersecurity and the Prevention of Cybercrime." This information became an important part not only of the educational program but also a practical guide for daily activities.

Digital hygiene is not merely a personal responsibility; it is a public good. By increasing our digital literacy and strengthening cybersecurity, we protect not only our personal data and financial assets but also professional information, becoming a reliable link in the security of our entire society. Vigilant and educated users who know the rules of online behavior form the foundation for the sustainable digital development of our country.

Be vigilant and cautious on the internet! Protect your personal data! Your digital security is a contribution to the security and technological sovereignty of our sovereign and independent Republic of Belarus.

As noted by the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko: "It is precisely thanks to... serving high ideals that we successfully withstand the challenges that time presents to us. A time of chaos, wars, and devaluation of true values. And the truth is simple: at the heart of any human activity lie spirituality and morality – the vital elixirs for culture, the strong bond between generations and traditions."

These words fully apply to the digital space as well. Countering cyber threats, combating the spread of disinformation, and protecting traditional values in the virtual environment are modern challenges that require from us vigilance, moral fortitude, and an active civic position.

For the staff of the Dental Faculty, the topic of cybersecurity also has special practical significance, related to the protection of patients' confidential data and the necessity of adhering to professional ethics when using digital tools in diagnosis and treatment.

Five-Year Plan. Creating the Future Together!

On October 27, the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry and Orthodontics held a unified information hour titled "The People's Five-Year Plan."

The event aimed to deepen students' understanding of the role of five-year plans in the country's economic and social development.

During the lecture and subsequent discussion, the historical context and goals of the People's Five-Year Plans were examined, and their key achievements and influence on the formation of modern society were analyzed.

The information hour not only enhanced the students' knowledge about the importance of economic development strategies but also contributed to the development of critical thinking, analytical skills, and the formation of an active civic stance among future specialists.

At the end of the information hour, students and teachers gladly participated in a sociological survey and shared their opinions on the topic "The Image of Belarus' Future for 2026-2030."

Single Information Day: The Role of Family Values in Modern Society

Today, as part of the unified information day for the faculty of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry and Orthodontics and 3rd-5th year students, lectures were held on the topic "The Role of Family Values in Modern Society," timed to coincide with the week of parental love. These lectures have become an important part of the educational program: they allow us to see the connection between family values, responsibility, and the sustainable development of our society.

The value of the family is not just a private sphere, but a public good. By creating strong family foundations, we lay the groundwork for the well-being of society, develop moral guidelines for youth, and shape responsible citizens. Cherish and protect your loved ones! Build strong families! Love and be happy! After all, your well-being directly influences the well-being of our state — the sovereign and independent Republic of Belarus.

As President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko said at the ceremony for presenting the «For Spiritual Revival" award on January 8, 2025: «It is precisely thanks to... serving high ideals that we successfully withstand the challenges that time presents to us. A time of chaos, wars, and the devaluation of true values. And the truth is simple: at the foundation of any human activity lie spirituality and morality – the life-giving elixirs for culture, strong connections between generations, and traditions»
