Currently, the clinical bases of the Department of Otolaryngology with a course of advanced training and retraining are the ENT departments of the Health Institution "4th City Clinical Hospital named after N.E. Savchenko", Health Institution "11th City Clinical Hospital", Health Institution "3rd City Children's Clinical Hospital", Health Institution "Minsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital", State Institution "Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Otolaryngology".

The department's faculty members provide therapeutic services, including patient care, necessary procedures, and conservative and all types of surgical treatment for diseases of the ear, throat, nose, larynx, and trachea. They also regularly participate in weekly rounds in ENT departments at all clinical sites, take part in consultations and clinical conferences, and provide advisory assistance to both patients and department doctors. The department's staff provides medical assistance upon request from the Republican Center for Medical Response, makes regular visits to healthcare facilities in the Minsk region, and conducts consultations at the BSMU professorial consultation center. Telemedicine consultations are used to provide assistance to doctors in remote healthcare facilities across the Republic.

The department's staff performs a full range of surgical interventions, including high-tech ear procedures: all types of sanitizing and hearing-improving surgeries, endoscopic interventions on all paranasal sinuses, and surgical interventions to restore the lumen of the larynx and upper trachea.

The department develops and implements new methods for diagnosing and treating various ENT pathologies in adult and pediatric patients. We use technologies that enable effective, gentle, organ-preserving surgical interventions in the treatment of diseases of the ear, nose, paranasal sinuses, larynx, and upper trachea. In particular, a sedation method for examining hearing in young children; a method for optimizing personalized treatment of sinusitis; a comprehensive method for treating inflammatory pathology of the ENT organs in immunodeficiencies have been developed and implemented, a method for treating stenosis of the larynx and/or upper trachea using a biomedical cell product based on mesenchymal stem cells of the olfactory lining.

The department's faculty participates in medical examinations and preventive checkups of staff and students, as well as in promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population through television appearances and publications in the periodical press.

All department faculty members hold medical qualifications, including 10 with the highest qualification. The department's faculty members undergo ongoing professional development in accordance with the plan.
