Educational and methodological work of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy

The educational process at the department takes place in the following disciplines:

  • «Topographic anatomy and operative surgery» for medical, pediatric, military medical faculties and the medical faculty of foreign students;
  • «Topographic anatomy» for the Faculty of Medicine and Prevention.

The training programs of the disciplines are developed by the teachers of the department and are annually revised and supplemented with new data in the field of operative surgery.

Practical classes are conducted according to the classical scheme

  • analysis of unclear questions of the lecture material, control questions of the practical lesson;
  • survey on the topic of the lesson with a demonstration of practical skills;
  • independent work to develop practical skills.

The analysis of the material is accompanied by a demonstration of cadaver material, diagrams, tables, slides, models, educational stands, museum preparations, educational videos.

Independently, students master practical skills and skills in using general and special tools, solve situational problems and tests.

To improve the quality of the educational process, the EUMC has been developed for all faculties, and 18 teaching aids have been published.

Five study rooms are equipped with TVs for slide shows and educational films.
