The department has a student scientific organization, in which students of 4-6 courses of the medical-preventive faculty work.
In the 2020-2021 academic year, 10 students of the medical-preventive faculty are constantly engaged in research activities.
Part of the research is carried out on the basis of the state institution 'Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Hygiene' under a cooperation agreement.
At the breakout sessions of the scientific conference of young scientists and students 'Actual problems of modern medicine', reports on topical problems of hygiene are heard.
Students participate in the Republican competition of student research papers. SNK members perform SRWS on the basis of the State Institution 'Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Hygiene'.
In 2014, a competition for the best student circle of the department among the departments of clinical and theoretical profile was held at the Belarusian State Medical University. The Department of Occupational Hygiene became the winner of the competition (entered the top three) among the departments of the theoretical profile.

- hygienic assessment of working conditions
- analysis of morbidity with temporary disability.
