Tahanovich Anatoli

A.D. Tahanovich Anatoli graduated from the Minsk State Medical Institute.
Since September 1, 2002 he is the Head of the Department of Biological Chemistry.
In 1981 he defended his PhD. thesis on the topic: 'Features of lipid metabolism in mitral valve disease.'
In 1992 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the topic: 'Molecular mechanisms of interaction of surfactant with pulmonary macrophages and their role in the development of interstitial pneumofibrosis.'
A.D. Tahanovich is author and co-author of 48 educational books and guide manuals for medical students, 3 textbooks, 350 published scientific papers and 12 patents of inventions.
He is Ph.D adviser of 9 theses, a member of two councils for the defense of dissertations, chairman of the expert commission on fundamental research at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, a member of the European Respiratory Society, actively involves in the scientific and technical council of the state program of scientific research, is a member of the editorial council of two scientific journals.
A.D. Tahanovich was awarded with diplomas of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences, a Certificate of Honor of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, a badge 'Excellent Worker of Public Health '.
In recent years, he has taken leading positions in the BSMU rating, as well as the department headed by him.

Rutkovskaya Zhanna
MD, PhD, Associate Professor
Zh.A. Rutkovskaya graduated from the sanitary and hygienic faculty of the Minsk State Medical Institute in 1993.
In 1996 she defended her PhD. thesis in specialties 03.00.04 – ‘Biochemistry” and 03.00.01 – “Radiobiology” (“Antioxidant system and its correction with a new complex of b-carotene and vitamins A, E, C under the action of ionizing radiation').
From 1993 to 2000 she has been working as a senior researcher at the laboratory of biochemistry at the Institute of Radiobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Republic of Belarus. During this period, she was engaged in the study of the effect on the body of various types of ionizing radiation.
Since 2000 she has been working at the Department of Biochemistry of the Belarusian State Medical University. In 2007 she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.
Since 2013 she is Deputy Head of the Department of educational and methodological work. She actively participates in educational and methodological work (in the development of standard and educational programs for the discipline 'Biological Chemistry', electronic educational and methodological complexes, distance learning course for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy (correspondence course), in the preparation of training tests and tests for passing the exam).
Research interests are currently associated with the study of the pathogenesis of the development of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in newborns. She took part in the implementation of a scientific project on the topic 'To study in an experiment the molecular mechanisms of lung damage in bronchopulmonary dysplasia' within the framework of the State Program of Scientific Research 'Fundamental and Applied Medicine and Pharmacy' (advisor: professor A.D. Tahanovich).
She is the author of 104 published scientific works (including 24 educational and methodical books), 4 patents for invention.

Devina Elena
MD, PhD, Associate Professor
E.A. Devina graduated from the Irkutsk State Medical Institute with a degree in preventive medicine. After graduation, she worked as an assistant at the Department of Biological Chemistry at the Irkutsk State Medical Institute. She also graduated from the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education of the Federal Agency for Health and Social Development 'ISMU' with a degree in Pharmacy.
Since 2007 she has been working at the Belarusian State Medical University at the Department of Biological Chemistry as an assistant.
In 2011 she defended her Ph.D. thesis on the topic 'Functional and metabolic restructuring of alveolar macrophages under the influence of cigarette smoke and its correction' (advisor: professor A.D. Tahanovich).
In 2014 she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.
She actively participates in the development of educational programs, distance learning course in the discipline 'Biological Chemistry' for the specialty 'Pharmacy'. She supervises the research work of students. E.A. Devina is the Chairman of the trade union bureau of the medical faculty of foreign students, member of the Council of the Medical Faculty of international students.
She was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Belarusian State Medical University for her fruitful work and high professionalism in educating young people.
E.A. Devina is the author and co-author of more than 54 published scientific papers, 2 patents for inventions.

Kolb Alexander
MD, PhD
In 1982 A.V. Kolb graduated with honors from the medical faculty of the Minsk State Medical Institute, then he got his research degree at the Department of Biological Chemistry of the Minsk State Medical Institute in 1986 (“(Iso) enzymes of creatine kinase, adenylate kinase and lactate dehydrogenase in the myocardium in different variants of its hypertrophy”). After graduating he worked as an assistant of the Department.
Since 1990 He is Associate Professor of the Department of Biological Chemistry and at the same time from December 1989 to February 2002 - Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry.
For many years of scientific, methodological and educational work, he was awarded with certificates of honor of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Railway and the Belarusian State Medical University.
Has 137 published papers, 1 patent for invention.

In 2003 E.M. Barabanova graduated with honors from the Faculty of Biology of the Belarusian State University. In 2006 she got her research degree at the Central Scientific Research Laboratory of the BSMU (Ph.D. thesis on the topic: 'Functional and metabolic activity of alveolar macrophages in conditions of oxygen deficiency and high ambient temperature').
She was involved in scientific project 'Influence of hypoxia and hyperthermia on the metabolism of lung cells' (2006-2008).
Since 2016 she is the Head of the Student Research Society.
E.M. Barabanova is the author and co-author of 34 scientific papers.

In 2001, N.N. Kovganko graduated with honors from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Belarusian State University.
Since July 2001 he held the position of Junior Researcher at the Laboratory of Condensed Matter Optics, Institute of Applied Physical Problems (BSU).
Since March 2008 he held the position of Assistant at the Department of Biological Chemistry of the Belarusian State Medical University, since December 2010 he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biological Chemistry.
N.N. Kovganko is the author and co-author of more than 60 scientific papers.

In 2005 T.Yu. Prinkova graduated from the Faculty of Radiobiology and Environmental Medicine of the International State Sakharov Environmental University.
In 2010-2013 she did her postgraduate studies at the Department of Biological Chemistry (BSMU). In 2014 she got her research degree at the Department of Biochemistry in specialty 03.01.04 - Biochemistry (PhD thesis: 'Tumor-associated proteins, parameters of blood coagulation and endogenous intoxication in the preoperative assessment of uterine cancer progression').
From 2013 to 2015 she held the position of Assistant at the Department of Biological Chemistry. Since November 2015 she was transferred to the position of Associate Professor.

Kadushkin Alexei
MD, PhD
A.G. Kadushkin graduated from the medical faculty of the Belarusian State Medical University.
In 2011-2012 he attended graduate school, then he did his postgraduate studies at the Department of Biological Chemistry (BSMU). In December 2015 he got his research degree at the Department of Biochemistry (PhD thesis: 'Features of ligand-receptor relationships in the population of blood lymphocytes and their predictive role in smokers and nonsmokers with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease').
Since March 2018, A.G. Kadushkin held the position of Deputy Dean of the Medical Faculty. He is the member of the European Respiratory Society (since 2012), the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (since 2017), the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (since 2018).
Research interests are related to the study of the molecular mechanisms of the development of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

In 2023 she obtained the scientific degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences in biochemistry, the topic of the research: “Substantiation of the immobilized oligopeptides application for decrease in the concentration of the pro-inflammatory cytokines in plasma”.

Khotko Catherine
Catherine Khotko graduated from the Faculty of Preventive Medicine of the Belarusian State Medical University in 2015.
Since the second year of study she had been the active participant in the Student Research Society of both departments of General Hygiene and Biological Chemistry. During her work in the Student Research Society of the Department of Biological Chemistry she was twice awarded the first-degree diploma of the Republican contest of students’ scientific works.
In 2014 C. Khotko was awarded the prize of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the social support of gifted students. During 2015-2016 she was studying for a master's degree at the Department of Biological Chemistry at BSMU. After completing her master's degree studying, she successfully defended her master's thesis 'Genetic characteristics of blood lymphocyte receptors and their protein ligands in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease'. C. Khotko was awarded the degree of Master of Medical Sciences in 2016.

Graduated in 2005 from the Educational Institution “International State Ecological University named after A.D. Sakharov" Faculty of Environmental Medicine, specialty "Radioimmunologist". After graduating from the university, from 2005 to 2009 he worked as a junior researcher at the laboratory of hemo- and lymphosorption of the Central Scientific Research Laboratory of BSMU. In 2006, he entered full-time graduate school at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, majoring in 03.00.04 “Biochemistry”. In 2009, he began working as a research assistant in the laboratory of applied biochemistry of the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus”
In 2010, he was awarded the academic degree of PhD in biochemistry (Biological Sciences).
