The main directions of methodological work at the department:
- Introduction of new and improved methods of lecturing;
- Organization and stimulation of individual work of students during preparation for classes;
- Using a variety of methods to control knowledge and skills;
- Publishing educational and teaching guides, developing educational programs, instructional guidelines for teachers;
- Improving the pedagogical skills of the teaching staff of the Department.
Lectures for students of all faculties are delivered by qualified teacher staff with great pedagogical experience.
In laboratory classes, the teachers of the Department use various forms of knowledge control:
- students’ recitation,
- test control,
- individual disputing and defending the laboratory protocol.
The form of intermediate knowledge control is a written work, the form of final knowledge control is test exam. To assist students in preparing for classes, the staff of the department prepared computer tests for self-control on all topics of the discipline.
The Department has prepared and is currently used a complete educational and methodological complex in Biological Chemistry. Its use in combination with various types of control makes it possible to achieve good results in the preparation of students in the discipline.
