Educational work at the department is carried out in accordance with the regulatory documents: the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Education and the Concept of Continuous Upbringing of Children and Students of the Republic of Belarus.
Purpose: the formation of a comprehensively developed, morally mature, socially adapted, highly professional, creative personality.
Aims:
- education of patriotism, citizenship and national identity based on state ideology;
- preparation for independent life and work, development of leadership qualities;
- the formation of a communicative, moral, ethical, aesthetic and information culture;
- acquisition of skills for a healthy lifestyle, ecological culture;
- mastering the culture of family relations;
- creating conditions for socialization, self-development and self-realization of the individual, etc.
Educational work with students is carried out constantly and inseparably from the learning process: in practical classes, during lectures, in the process of individual training with doctors, colleagues, patients.
Educational work with foreign students is carried out when they study internal diseases, the cycle of occupational pathology. It is aimed at forming a sense of respect for the Republic of Belarus as a peace-loving, dynamically developing state that maintains friendly relations with other states and peoples within the country and at the world level, as one of the leaders of the Non-Aligned Movement and as one of the organizers of the UN.
The staff of the department supervises students living in dormitory No. 10 of the Belarusian State Medical University, holding regular meetings with students there, solving the problems of organizing their life in cooperation with the administration of the Belarusian State Medical University, family issues.
According to the plan, information days are held in all groups, allowing students to broaden their horizons by expressing their opinions and positions on the topics of the political and economic life of our country. They get acquainted with the history and cultural heritage of Belarus, with the history of the university and the department.
Throughout the year, the following are held: round tables dedicated to the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, World AIDS Prevention Day; conversations on the prevention of bad habits; seminars on the prevention of occupational diseases of medical workers. The staff of the department is actively involved in sports events.
