Visit of Airat Farrakhov, Rector of Kazan State Medical University, to BSMU

On the 24^th of July, Belarusian State Medical University hosted a distinguished guest from the Russian Federation. The University was visited by Airat Farrakhov, Rector of Kazan State Medical University.

The guest was welcomed by Rector of BSMU Sergey Rubnikovich—a Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Professor—and Vice-Rector for International Relations Dmitry Chuikov.

The visit program was varied and covered key areas of our university's activities. The delegation visited a seminar of young scientists of National Medical Research Center named after G.I.Turgenev and Student Scientific Society of BSMU.

The distinguished guest of our university visited the BSMU Higher Education Simulation and Assessment Center and the Military Medical Institute’s Tactical Medicine Training Center, and got acquainted with the student living facilities in the BSMU campus where future medical professionals live.

Unique simulation equipment was demonstrated to Airat Farrakhov at the Republican Center for Professional Certification and Simulation Training for Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers.

In addition, there was a visit to Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, where the guests were welcomed by the Center’s Director—Oleg Rummo, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, and "Scientist of the Year 2025" of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The colleagues discussed the latest achievements in the field of transplantology and robotic surgery.

The visit confirmed a high level of cooperation between the leading medical universities of the two countries, as well as the mutual interest.
