Belarusian State Medical University hosted a delegation from China: new horizons for cooperation in orthopedics and AI medicine

Belarusian State Medical University welcomed an honorary delegation from the People’s Republic of China led by leading specialists in the field of joint surgery.

The Chinese delegation included Yusheng Li, Deputy Director of the Clinical, Diagnostic and Treatment Center for Joint Surgery of Hunan Province, Chief Orthopedic Surgeon and Professor at Xiangya Hospital of Central South University; Guang Yang, Candidate of Medical Sciences under the supervision of Professor Yusheng Li; and Chu Siyao, a postgraduate student of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics with a course of Advanced Training and Retraining of BSMU.

The Belarusian side was represented by Sergey Rubnikovich, Rector of Belarusian State Medical University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor; Dmitry Chuikov, Vice-Rector for International Relations; Vasili Roudenok, Professor of the Department of Normal Anatomy, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor; and Andrei Bespalchuk, Associate Professor of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor.

Sergey Rubnikovich presented the structure and scientific potential of our university, emphasizing the role of Belarusian State Medical University as the country’s leading medical university.

The meeting focused on discussing joint scientific publications and developing innovate AI-based solutions for patient examination. Cooperation with the Chinese colleagues is entering a new level!
