Vagif Shadlinski, a prominent anatomist and Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, visited BSMU; there have been defined directions for new cooperation

On the 28^th of July, in the frameworks of an agreement on academic and scientific cooperation, Belarusian State Medical University was visited by Vagif Shadlinsky—a well-known Azerbaijani anatomist and public figure, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and consulting professor of the Department of Human Anatomy of Azerbaijan Medical University. The guest was welcomed by the Rector, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Professor Sergey Rubnikovich and Professor of the Department of Normal Anatomy Vasili Roudenok.

The primary aim of Vagif Shadlinsky’s visit was to discuss directions for academic and scientific cooperation between the partner universities: enhancement of the educational process through the implementation of new IT technologies, joint participation in dissertation councils and the training of highly qualified researchers, the publication of textbooks and monographs, and the implementation of promising research projects.

There was organized an excursion around the university, including a visit of the anatomical museum.

The Rector of BSMU expressed his gratitude for the visit and extended an invitation to Vagif Shadlinsky; he also conveyed an official invitation to the Кector and faculty of Azerbaijan Medical University to participate in the celebratory events and scientific conference devoted to the 105^th anniversary of BSMU in November 2026.
