The Unity Day of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia: Interactive platforms of the Student Self-Government Council
On April 2, Belarusian State Medical University held an event dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia. The event, organized with the support of the primary student trade union organization, brought together representatives of student government from all faculties and the activists of the dormitories No. 9 and No. 10 of the BSMU student campus.
The goal of the event is to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the youth of the two countries, to foster respect for their shared history, culture, and values, and to exchange experiences in educational and social activities.
In the university lobby there were thematic interactive areas prepared by student teams. Each platform reflected a separate area of comparative dialogue: culture, industry, economics, education, and healthcare. The events ranged in format from informational exhibitions to quizzes and team challenges, allowing participants to not only gain new knowledge but also demonstrate initiative and creativity.
During the discussions, students shared their opinions on what unites Belarus and Russia, as well as their differences: cultural traditions, approaches to solving socio-economic problems, and the organization of education.
This event has become another step in developing relations between Belarusian and Russian youth within the walls of our university.
