Online meeting of delegations of the Samara region and the Republic of Belarus in the frameworks of international cooperation

On the 21st of July, aiming at the development of scientific and educational ties between the Samara Region and the Republic of Belarus, there was held an online meeting of delegations from the two regions, which became an important stage in strengthening cooperation in the field of medicine and anatomy. The event took place in a friendly atmosphere, with the participation of leading experts from both sides.

From the Belarusian side, the event was attended by the respected experts: Vice-Rector for International Relations, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vasili Roudenok; Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, PhD in Medicine, Associate Professor Pavel Markautsan; Head of the Department of Normal Anatomy, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Natalia Trushel; Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Alexander Kharitonchik, who presented the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy.

From the Russian side, the meeting was attended by Olga Smolyakova, Director of CIS development at LLC “Razvitie”.

The main topics of discussion were the issues of human morphology, embryology and other areas of normal and topographic anatomy. The participants exchanged experiences, discussed modern methods of research and teaching of these disciplines, as well as the possibilities of joint research projects.

One of the key decisions was the agreement on the supply of anatomical preparations, which can be used by the Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU). This step will expand the educational and methodological base and improve the quality of training for students of both sides.

Besides, representatives of the Belarusian State Medical University invited to attend the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Achievements in Modern Morphology", which will be held in October 2025. It is planned to organize an in-person event with the participation of leading experts from both countries, which will be an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and strengthen professional ties.

This online meeting became an important step towards the development of international cooperation in the field of medicine and anatomy, opening new horizons for joint research, educational programs and exchange of experience between the Samara region and the Republic of Belarus.
