«Mela 2026»: A Vibrant Festival of India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal

The Belarusian State Medical University will host this spring’s major cultural event—the «Mela 2026» festival!

We invite you to embark on an unforgettable journey through the colors, flavors, and rhythms of South Asia. On March 27, 2026, the traditions of India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal will converge in the foyer of the main building of the Belarusian State Medical University to celebrate unity and friendship.

What is Mela?

«Mela» translates from Hindi as «fair» or «festival». But this year in Minsk, the concept takes on a new meaning. It is a bridge between cultures, where everyone will be able not only to see but also to feel the soul of the East.

The organizers have prepared a rich program that will appeal to both students and guests interested in Eastern culture.

Festival Program: From Holi Colors to Spicy Treats

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Exhibition dedicated to the cultures of India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.

4:00 PM – 5:30 PM

A Cultural Immersion

After the concert, guests are in for a true feast for the senses! A tasting of national cuisine will offer a chance to sample rare spices and dishes prepared according to authentic recipes.

5:30 PM – 9:00 PM

The evening will conclude with an intercultural student disco, where music from different countries will unite everyone in a single dance rhythm.

Why should you come?

This isn’t just a concert. It’s an opportunity to:

1. Get to know the cultures of three countries in one evening.

2. Support international student fellowship.

3. Take vibrant photos in unique outfits and settings.
