Meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Belarus Güçlü Cem Işık

On May 7, Belarusian State Medical University received a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the Republic of Belarus, headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Belarus Güçlü Cem Işık. The visit was a significant event for BSMU and was aimed at strengthening academic and humanitarian ties, expanding cooperation in medical education and science, and developing direct contacts between the professional communities of the two countries.

The delegation was received by University Rector Sergey Rubnikovich. Also present at the meeting were Vice Rector for International Relations Dmitry Chuikov and Deputy Head of the International Relations Department Nadezhda Kolyago.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in training medical personnel, exchanging experience in clinical education, and implementing modern educational technologies. Particular attention was paid to opportunities for academic mobility—the participation of students, residents, and young scientists in internships, short-term educational programs, summer schools, and research projects.

Representatives of BSMU presented key areas of university development, educational programs, and approaches to practice-oriented training. The guests, in turn, expressed interest in creating sustainable mechanisms for bilateral cooperation that will allow for the expansion of joint initiatives on a regular, rather than sporadic, basis.

The visit included a tour of the university's infrastructure and educational environment. The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere, and the guests exchanged souvenirs.

At the end of the meeting, the guests were given a tour of the university, including a visit to the simulation and certification center for higher education in the practice-oriented training building of Belarusian State Medical University and the tactical medicine center.

During the conversation, it was emphasized that such visits form a solid foundation for further agreements—from exchange programs to joint educational and research initiatives.

The visit of the delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Belarus, headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Belarus Güçlü Cem Işık, confirmed mutual interest in developing partnerships in the field of medical education and science. The parties expressed their readiness to continue the dialogue and move on to developing specific formats of interaction that will contribute to strengthening professional contacts and developing humanitarian ties between Belarus and Turkey.
