LXXX International Conference "Current Issues of Modern Medicine and Pharmacy–2026"

On April 29-30, our university hosted the 80th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Current Issues of Modern Medicine and Pharmacy – 2026”. The event became a significant platform for professional networking, discussion of scientific research results, and strengthening of scientific ties between young professionals and representatives of the scientific community.

The conference was attended by master's students, postgraduate students, degree seekers, doctoral students, as well as employees of healthcare and educational institutions engaged in scientific activities under the age of 40. In total, approximately 3,000 students from universities of the Republic of Belarus and 19 universities of the Russian Federation participated in the conference. Various forms of participation were provided: in-person, remote, and distance learning, ensuring broad coverage and facilitating the active participation of representatives from various academic schools.

During two days of intensive work in sections based at our university departments, 1,852 reports were heard: 609 of which were abstracts and 1,243 papers containing the results of original research. These formats allowed not only to summarize modern approaches and achievements, but also to demonstrate the practical focus of student and young scientific initiatives, confirming a high level of research preparation of the participants. The topics included the following ones: "Obstetrics and Gynecology," "Human Anatomy," "Anesthesiology and Resuscitation," "Biological Chemistry," "Histology, Cytology, and Embryology," "Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases," and many others.

It should be emphasized that the materials presented were distinguished by their relevance, well-thought-out structure, and focus on practical results. During the sections, participants actively exchanged scientific ideas, approaches to problem solving, and observations from their own practice. This contributed to a meaningful discussion that maintained the interest of both in-person and remote participants.

We thank all participants for their interest and a high quality of their presentations. We are truly pleased that the event was characterized by an atmosphere of mutual interest and support, and that all sections were noted for their highly productive and insightful discussions.
