Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in the State of Israel Eitan Dvir Kariv attended the leading medical university
The meeting with the diplomat was attended by the Rector of Belarusian State Medical University, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vasili Roudenok, Head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Health of Belarus Anatoly Grushkovsky, Consultant of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Tatyana Begun, Head of the joint project of LLC BelInter Media Service and BSMU Yulia Danovich.
– I thank you for your help in implementing the Belarusian-Israeli pilot project aimed at attracting Israel citizens to study at BSMU. By receiving a diploma from our educational institution, these guys can successfully work in any country,” emphasized Sergey Rubnikovich. – I hope that after today’s meeting the project will be continued and there will be more talented students from the State of Israel, who undergo training at Belarusian State Medical University. We are committed to prepare well-qualified specialists for your healthcare sector, and you will contribute to their professional growth in their home country. I would really like the fate of our graduates to be successful.
– I must say that I am very impressed with the conditions under which doctors and pharmacists are trained at the leading institution of higher medical education in Belarus. The university also respects the national traditions of foreign students, including those who are the citizens of Israel. The same can’t be said about other universities in the world. I told the Minister of Health of my country about this, and he asked me to convey the words of gratitude to you,” said Eitan Dvir Kariv. – Israel is experiencing problems with training places in medical specialties. And I am glad that the Ministry of Health of the State of Israel extended the accreditation of BSMU for a period of three years.
As the honorary consul said, specialists with a Diploma from Belarusian State Medical University, upon returning home, work safely in various clinics. Graduates of 2024 have already passed the qualification examination with flying colors and have begun to perform their medical duties. This means that the results of the Belarusian-Israeli experimental project are beyond praise and the efforts made to launch it were not in vain at all.
– I value our cooperation and will always support it. I hope that in the coming years the number of Israeli students at BSMU will increase several times. We have one goal: you need good students, and we need good specialists,” the guest concluded.
The official meeting was replaced by a tour around the new building of practice-oriented training, during which Eitan Dvir Kariv got acquainted with the exhibition “Belarus. Medicine. The Future”, and also with the organization of the training process for medical students.

Eitan Dvir Kariv was born in Tel Aviv. He graduated from the University of Derby (UK). He has a bachelor's degree in business administration and economics and a master's degree in business administration. While serving in the army, he was a medical instructor and later headed the clinic of the Israeli Army Corps of Signals and Equipment.
He is the honorary consul of Belarus in the southern district of Israel, an influential businessman with contacts in the government of the State of Israel. He has a positive attitude towards our country and is interested in comprehensive deepening of bilateral relations.
Eitan Dvir Kariv is actively involved in the implementation of a project to attract Israeli students to study at Belarusian State Medical University (S.Y.D. The Honorary Consul is also working on other promising areas, including medical and religious tourism to Belarus.
