The online conference "Current Issues in Cardiology and Rheumatology" brought together specialists from Belarus and Azerbaijan

Belarusian State Medical University hosted an online conference dedicated to current issues in cardiology and rheumatology. The event was held in cooperation with Azerbaijan Medical University.

Belarusian State Medical University was represented by: Dmitry Chuikov, Vice-Rector for International Relations; Vasily Rudenok, Professor of the Department of Normal Anatomy, Doctor of Medical Sciences; Elena Grigorenko, Professor of the Department of Cardiology and Internal Medicine, Doctor of Medical Sciences; Natalia Martusevich, Professor of the Department of Cardiology and Internal Medicine, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, Chief Rheumatologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus; Varvara Boiko, Head of the Department of International Relations.

Azerbaijan Medical University was represented by: Tora Sadygova, Head of the Department of International Relations; Sona Gakhramanova, Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine, Doctor of Medical Sciences; Leyla Efendieva, Associate Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor.

During the conference, participants discussed important topics related to cardiology and rheumatology. Among the issues discussed there were vaccination of patients with chronic heart failure, gender differences in patients with coronary heart disease, typical errors in the management of rheumatological patients, and the influence of geophysical factors on the development of cardiovascular pathology.

The event concluded with an active discussion of the presented reports and answers to questions from the participants. The conference became an important platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge between specialists from two countries, contributing to the further development of medicine in the fields of cardiology and rheumatology.
