Delegation of Ivanovo State Medical University Visits BSMU

On 24 September, Inna Ivanova, Rector of Ivanovo State Medical University, visited Belarusian State Medical University.

The delegation also included Alyona Bitsutko, a delegate of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Belarus.

The BSMU’s side was represented by Sergey Rubnikovich, Rector of Belarusian State Medical University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor; Dmitry Chuikov, Vice-Rector for International Relations; and Lyudmila Malkevich, Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine with a Course of Advanced Training and Retraining, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to the educational and scientific potential of BSMU. The parties held discussions on promising areas of bilateral academic and scientific cooperation.

The participants discussed opportunities for joint educational programmes and research projects, as well as internships and academic mobility for students and academic staff. The parties expressed their mutual interest in strengthening partnership relations and agreed to continue developing joint initiatives.

As part of the visit, Inna Ivanova delivered a lecture for students and the academic staff of the Faculty of General Medicine of BSMU.

The lecture, entitled "The Future of Healthcare: Innovations and Progress in Russian Medicine. The Era of Nuclear Medicine," attracted considerable interest from the audience. Today, nuclear medicine is one of the most promising and rapidly developing fields, bringing together advances in physics, chemistry, biology, and clinical practice.

The lecture became not only a valuable source of new knowledge but also an important step in strengthening academic cooperation between Belarusian State Medical University and Ivanovo State Medical University.

The distinguished guests were also given a guided tour of the University, during which they became acquainted with BSMU's infrastructure and explored the advanced technologies of the University's Practice-Oriented Training Building.

The visit of the delegation from Ivanovo State Medical University marked another important step in strengthening academic ties between Belarus and Russia.
