BSMU and Ningxia Medical University: A Successful Start for Chinese Students’ Studies
Belarusian State Medical University continues to implement international agreements with partner universities from the People’s Republic of China. On September 26, 2025, a group of eleven second-year students from Ningxia Medical University (Yinchuan City) arrived at BSMU to commence their studies as part of an academic mobility program. This visit is organized within the framework of the existing Agreement on Academic and Scientific Cooperation and Exchange between the two institutions.
This is the second time that Chinese students have undertaken a three-month study program in General Medicine at BSMU in this format. The repetition of this initiative confirms the success and stability of the established collaborative model.
To ensure a comfortable adaptation and a smooth start to the academic process, an orientation program was organized for the guests on their first day in Belarus. During a tour of the university, the future doctors from China not only saw the academic facilities and modern infrastructure of BSMU but also had the opportunity for personal interaction with professors from key departments. The students visited the departments of Belarusian and Russian Languages, Biology, Biological Chemistry, Foreign Languages, Normal Anatomy, Normal Physiology, as well as Physical Training and Sports, where they were briefed on the curriculum for the upcoming classes.
The implementation of joint educational programs and academic exchange programs is one of the strategic priorities of Belarusian State Medical University. The development of partnership relations with medical universities in China, such as Ningxia Medical University, fosters intercultural dialogue, opens up new opportunities for students and faculty, and strengthens the position of Belarusian medical education worldwide.
