Anatomy Club for students of the Medical Faculty for International Students (English)
The study of anatomy is the exploration of the symphony of life, where each structure plays a vital note in the composition of existence.

The importance of the study of Anatomy for a medical student cannot be overstated. In that vein, the study of it is not restricted to walls of the classroom and the frame of time allocated to the subject. Those students who wanted to go the extra mile to further their knowledge on the subject, to fuel their passion and to quench their thirst for knowledge, engaged in a series of engaging and educational activities over the course of the previous two semesters.

Every Saturday morning, under the guidance of the fifth year students (консультанты), Lakindu Dissanayake, Ahamed Failaj and Fathima Nashiha, over 15 students of the Medical Faculty for International Students (English) met to further their knowledge.

The students were able to work with the specimens, arguably the most vital part in the study of Normal Anatomy, to perfect their understanding. Similarly the theoretical knowledge, with the excellent material provided by professors and the university were used as a basis for discussion.

The goal was not to simply revise what information the students knew already, but to also understand the concepts thoroughly, to appreciate the subject and connect the knowledge to other aspects of medicine as well. In this process, the students were able to gain confidence both in thinking on their own feet and in public speaking.

The efforts of the students and consultants were not in vain, as all students who attended passed the final exam for Normal Anatomy in the winter session with excellent results (each with a grade of 7 or more). The new batch of first years are already en route in the same path!
