A meeting of students and young scientists from Belarus and Russia was held at BSMU
On the 24th of July 24, there was held a meeting at Belarusian State Medical University between the Council of the Student Scientific Society of Belarusian State Medical University and the Council of Young Scientists of Turner National Medical Research Center for Pediatric Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery.
The event was opened by Sergey Rubnikovich, Rector of BSMU, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Professor. Welcoming remarks were also given by Vladislav Rimashevsky, Vice-Rector for Clinical Work, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Associate Professor; and Vasili Roudenok, Professor of the Department of Normal Anatomy and Doctor of Medical Sciences. In their speech, they emphasized the importance of developing students' scientific potential and the significance of international cooperation in the medical field.
Polina Pershina, Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists of Turner National Medical Research Center, and Timofey Grippa, Chairperson of the Student Scientific Society of BSMU, spoke on behalf of the young scientists. They noted the growing interest of students in research work and the need for experience exchange between young scientists from the two countries.
As part of the scientific program, researchers from Turner National Medical Research Center and students from Belarusian State Medical University presented their reports. The topics covered a wide range of issues—from methodology and statistics in medicine to clinical aspects of orthopedics and rheumatology.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics, where a tour and a round-table discussion took place. The meeting became an important step in strengthening scientific ties between students and young researchers from Belarus and Russia!
