BSMU receives official recognition from BRIMEA

Belarusian State Medical University is proud to announce that it has officially received the certificate of membership in the Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance (BRIMEA). The certificate confirms the University’s official membership in the Alliance and recognizes BSMU’s contribution to the development of medical education.

What is BRIMEA?

The Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance (BRIMEA) was established in 2018 at the initiative of China Medical University. Today it brings together more than 120 medical universities from China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, the Philippines, Turkey, Pakistan, and many other countries.

The Alliance operates on the principles of voluntariness, equality, cooperation, and mutual development. Its mission is to bring together the resources, knowledge, and experience of its members to address current challenges in medical education, healthcare workforce training, scientific research, public health.

In 2023 BRIMEA was included among the multilateral achievements of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in Beijing, where it was recognized as a significant non-governmental initiative in the field of education.

BSMU’s participation in the Alliance extends far beyond formal membership. The University’s academic staff regularly take part in the Alliance’s annual conferences hosted by China Medical University, as well as in other online activities, including joint seminars and workshops organized by BRIMEA. BSMU students also have access to the BRIMEA Cloud Class Program, which offers online courses in various medical disciplines provided by partner universities in China.

Membership in BRIMEA opens up new opportunities for international cooperation, academic exchange and joint scientific research projects!
