At the Department of Urology, at the bases of urological departments of the 4th City Hospital, the 2nd Children's City Hospital in Minsk, and the Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital in agrogorodok Lesnoiy, active research activities are being carried out. At least 5 - 7 articles are published in recyclable journals annually. Reports are being prepared for republican and international conferences.
The Department of Urology has repeatedly become a participant in international research of new drugs. Also, the department underwent clinical trials of medical devices and medical products of domestic and foreign production.
At the Department of Urology, scientific work is carried out in conjunction with research institutes, such as the Scientific and Practical Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, the Institute of Physiology and other scientific laboratories.
Thanks to the cooperation of the Department of Urology of the Belarusian State Medical University with other medical universities and institutes, such as the Research Institute of Urology in Moscow, various scientific and practical seminars on the use of high-tech medical equipment in urological practice are held on the basis of the 4th City Clinical Hospital. Also, within the framework of the practical part of the seminar, master classes are held, during which the wide possibilities of using new medical equipment are demonstrated. All doctors present have the opportunity to improve their practical skills under the guidance of experienced teachers and practitioners.
The lecturers of the department regularly participate and deliver reports at international scientific conferences, such as the Baltic meeting of the European Association of Urology.

In 2020 A.N. Nechiporenko defended his thesis of Doctor of Medical Sciences «Surgical treatment of urinary disorders in patients with genital prolapse»
