Professor A.V. Strotsky conducts extensive scientific and practical work, conducts weekly rounds in the urological departments of the 4th City Clinical Hospital, consults patients with various pathologies of the urinary system. Performs complex and high-tech operations.
The Republican Center for Pediatric Urology based in the 2nd State Children's Clinical Hospital in Minsk and is the base of the Department of Urology of the Belarusian State Medical University, where scientific work, student training, training of clinical residents and interns are conducted.
The staff of the Department of Urology take an active part in the work of the center, where complex and high-tech surgical interventions are carried out in children with anomalies in the development of the genital organs (hypospadias, epispadias, adrenogenital syndrome), treatment of neurogenic bladder dysfunctions, treatment of vesicoureteral reflux by endoscopic correction. Most operations in children with kidney and ureter pathology are performed by laparoscopic methods. In the treatment of urolithiasis in children, methods of minimally invasive surgery (ESWL, ureteroscopy, etc.) are widely used. Kidney transplants are performed for children from related and deceased donors.
