The activities of the scientific club are closely related to the scientific research of the department: assessment of immuno-metabolic disorders in patients with bronchopulmonary pathology; development of methods for the diagnosis of immunity disorders in patients with pulmonological, cardiological and rheumatological profiles; methods for correcting the identified immunity disorders; diagnosis and treatment of various types of bronchial asthma; the use of hyperbaric oxygenation in patients with coronary heart disease; primary immunodeficiencies in adults; clinical trials of medicinal products.
At the meetings, the members of the club make scientific reports on current clinical topics, share their experience in conducting scientific research. At each meeting of the scientific circle, clinical cases are analyzed. Club members take an active part in the annual scientific student conferences, and the works that won prizes participate in the Republican review-competition of scientific works of students and young scientists.
The results of scientific research of the club members are published in the annual collection of student works. Scientific student work carried out by students under the guidance of the teachers of the department has repeatedly won prizes at the Republican competitions of student works and International conferences.
Being engaged in a student scientific club at the Department of Propaedeutic of Internal Diseases, students get the opportunity to master the educational material deeper, to master the skills of clinical thinking. In addition students get the opportunity to participate in scientific research, gain skills in working with scientific literature, collecting, processing and analyzing clinical data; it is important that students report their results at the section of propaedeutics of internal diseases during the annual student scientific conferences.
For several years the department has been holding an online quiz PROQUEST: once a week. A question is posted on the department's VKontakte page, the correct answer enables the student to receive points that are summed up throughout the academic year. For the most active and knowledgeable participants of the quiz, the PROQUEST scores increase the mark in propaedeutic of internal diseases in the summer examination session.
We invite everyone to take part in the work of the student scientific club of the Department of Propaedeutic of Internal Diseases. Given the COVID-19 coronavirus infection pandemic, meetings are held in a remote access format.
