The teaching staff of the department conduct active consultative and diagnostic work at the clinical bases of the department in accordance with modern protocols and standards of morphological investigations using a wide range of histochemical stains, immunohistochemical and/or immunofluorescence methods and electron microscopy. An individual approach, professionalism and a high level of diagnostics are an integral part of the work of the teaching staff of the Department of Pathological Anatomy.

The department works on the development and implementation of new, modern, high-tech methods and algorithms for diagnosis a wide range of diseases.

The main scientific directions of the department’s research:

  2. Nephropathology
  3. Diseases of the female reproductive system
  4. Pathology of the gastrointestinal tract
  5. Cardiopathology and connective tissue disorders
