Aim and Objectives:

Development of a linguodidactic complex in order to create a differentiated foreign language educational environment in teaching foreign languages ​​to medical students.

 Development of cognitive interests of medical students, their ability to independently learn a foreign language and improve their knowledge.

Implementation of efforts aimed at personally significant aspects of teaching the foreign language.

Identification of optimal methods, forms, techniques of teaching medical students in a foreign language class.

Expected results, possible area and form of their application:

  • determining the value priorities of foreign languages ​​at a non-linguistic university;
  • development and implementation of modern technologies for teaching foreign languages;
  • teaching foreign languages ​​in the light of new competence realities;
  • implementation of differentiated teaching in a foreign language class;
  • development of motivation for mastering a foreign language of the profession;
  • preparation of teaching aids and video lessons for students of different faculties;
  • publication of articles and presentation of reports on topical issues of modern methods and psychological and pedagogical theory;
  • conducting seminars on the use of linguodidactic potential in teaching foreign languages.

The main areas of research work of the department staff also include the following problems:

  • forms and methods of enhancing creative and cognitive activity of students;
  • implementation of the communicative and cognitive principle in teaching foreign languages;
  • psychological and linguistic foundations of teaching foreign languages ​​as a means of intercultural communication;
  • innovative educational technologies;
  • problems of modeling situations of foreign language professional communication in educational conditions at a medical university.

Based on the results of participation in scientific conferences, publications are published in collections of materials devoted to issues of foreign language education and based on the generalization of the experience of domestic and foreign psychologists, linguists and reflecting modern advanced technologies and trends in teaching foreign languages.

The relevance and significance of research work is to improve and promptly update the strategy of teaching foreign languages ​​at a medical university, aimed at training specialists with foreign language professional competence. The implementation of the research results is confirmed by the Implementation Acts available at the department.
