Research topic: «Optimization of diagnosis, treatment and prevention in comprehensive treatment of dental patients» (No. of state registration 20170473, dated April 14, 2017).
The main directions of scientific and practical work of the Department of Endodontics are: development of new and improvement of existing methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of endodontic diseases; identifying the reasons for the ineffectiveness of conservative treatment of chronic apical periodontitis; prevention of complications of endodontic treatment in everyday practice, improving the prevention of dental diseases through the rational use of oral hygiene products.
At the Department of Endodontics 1 Professor, D.M.S. and 6 Associate Professors, Ph.D. are working. The research work is currently guided by professor A.V. Butvilovskyi.
The department carries out 10 Ph.D. researches in the following areas:
- Development and justification of algorithms for local prevention of dental caries in pregnant women.
- Dynamics of changes in dental status in organ transplant recipients.
- Optimization of planning the restoration of the frontal group of teeth using digital technologies in dentistry.
- Substantiation of differentiated approaches in the treatment of pulp diseases and apical periodontitis.
- Substantiation of the choice of the method of mechanical treatment of root canals and improvement of medical tactics in the mechanical treatment of root canals of teeth with severe curvature.
- Experimental and clinical substantiation of the choice of modern obturation materials and technologies in endodontics.
- Rational of the use of cell technologies in the treatment of pulp and periodical tissues (experimental and clinical study).
