The Student Scientific Club of the department was established in 1998. From 1998 to 2000, as the head of the club was Associate Professor S. V.Latysheva, from 2000 to September 2002-Associate Professor N. I.Dmitrieva, from September 2002 to September 2005 – Associate Professor N. A Yudina., from September 2005 to September 2012 – Associate Professor Yu. V. Modrinskaya. From October 2012 to September 2019-Associate Professor T. I. Gunko From October 2019 to the present-Associate Professor O. S.Gorodetska.
In our Student Scientific Club, students of the 3rd - 5th courses of the Faculty of Dentistry and Medical Faculty for foreign students are engaged.
The goals and objectives of the research work of students at the department are based on the principles and provisions of the Charter of the Student scientific society of the University. The directions of student scientific research are consistent with the research topics of the department and cover a wide range of current problems of modern dentistry.
In addition to research work, the department annually conducts the International Competition for Aesthetic Dentistry CERAM X CASE CONTEST.
According to the results of 2011-2014, BSMU students were awarded international certificates in Helsinki (Finland), Istanbul (Turkey), in 2016-2018 they took part in the final competition in Constance (Germany), where they presented their works in English.
A unique educational and health-improving program for the acquisition of a healthy lifestyle by students is the “Healthy Smile” competition. At the same time, it is an exciting competition that allows students to show their creative abilities and professional skills.
Every year, the department takes part in conferences of students and young scientists with international participation “Current problems of modern medicine and pharmacy”.
