Visit of Kamal Al-Shahr, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Belarusian State Medical University

On the 11^th of March, a delegation headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Belarus Kamal Al-Shahra visited Belarusian State Medical University.

Belarusian State Medical University was represented by the Rector of the University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich and Vice-Rector for International Relations Dmitry Chuikov.

The meeting took place in a friendly and positive atmosphere. The parties discussed current areas and prospects for bilateral cooperation in the fields of medical education, science, and clinical practice. During the conversation, there was emphasized the importance of strengthening academic and professional ties between Belarus and Palestine, as well as the need for practical steps to develop exchanges of students, lecturers, and researchers.

Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of joint educational programs, internships, and the implementation of research projects aimed at improving the qualifications of medical personnel. The parties exchanged contacts and memorable gifts, discussed practical steps to develop cooperation, and expressed their readiness for further dialogue and the implementation of specific initiatives.

At the end of the official part, the guests visited the university's key educational and practical facilities: the Higher Education Simulation and Certification Center and the Tactical Medicine Center. The delegation was able to become familiar with the modern technologies and methods used at BSMU while training future doctors.
